By the 1860s, medieval Paris had been torn down and transformed into the city we love.  New gas lighting made it the City of Light. There were elegant new theatres, glamorous restaurants and colorful cabarets, like the Moulin Rouge. Artists Edgar Degas, Mary Cassatt, Eduard Manet, and Henri de Toulouse Lautrec give us glimpses of this glittering, sometimes tawdry, but always fascinating city.

Come join other writers! The lonely solitary writer is a myth. Writing needs to be shared and writing is richer when done in community.  In this Symposium, we will share our writings. Donnaleen will facilitate the sharing of prose in several genres such as memoir, essays, and other forms of writing, and provide some ideas on methodology whilst giving you an opportunity to discuss your process.  Feedback will be given by Donnaleen and participants, giving you, and your writing an opportunity to breathe and grow.
